Tavi Gevinson fashion blog.

Tavi Gevinson picture from her fashion blog: Style Rookie. Note her grey awsome hair, fourteen years old.
The other day I was looking at some fashion websites and some fashion week photos. I came to the online magazine of Glamour. They have a tab for fashion bloggers in which they feature a well-known fashion blogger each week. The first article was on a fourteen-year-old blogger named Tavi Gevinson. She is the writer of the well-known fashion blog, Style Rookie. It amazed me that someone so young could get so famous for writing about fashion. She gave a quote on advice to other fashion bloggers that said: “”Just write what you think,” she said. “Write what you really, really think and believe, and if someone goes back on it or criticizes you, just stand up for what you believe. You have to just be honest. Write about what you know, and make sure it really comes from the heart.” After reading the article I was curious about her blog. Tavi Gevinson blog, Fashion Rookie is really cool. She writes as if we are reading her thoughts. Her grey hair takes me by surprise, because I would have never thought that it would look high fashion on such a small girl, but she looks really cool. I would encourage anyone interested in fashion to check out her blog, she has some really cool pictures, and some great thoughts on fashion.
More pictures of style from Bethany.
My friend Bethany is a wardrobe stylist based in Southern California. These are her pictures and design that I thought I would share with you. The model is my good friend Leanna. For more pictures and information on Bethany go to http://bethanykelly.wordpress.com/.
So recently I have acquired a new found love for flannels and boots. Flannels are very much so “in” this season from what I have seen around the Central Valley. They are easy to acquire too! Local thrift stores have flannels that sell for on $3. But also Forever 21 has flannels of different prices ranging from $15 to $25, for both male and female.
As for boots I find myself wearing them everyday. Both short boots and tall nee high boots are in this season. I don’t know how I feel about the boots that go all the way up to the nee, just because I think it would be uncomfortable. But I wear my boots over jeans, tights, leggings, leg warms, or just bare. I was watching “What Not to Wear” the other day, and they say to match the color of your boots to the color of your tights. It looks good in my book, but I think the miss match of tights and boots look good as well.
Perfect boots are hard to find. But my favorite pair I found at Marshalls for $30. They are still in great shape, and I have had them for a while now.
Thanks for reading!
This is a French fashion blog (translated to English) that I really enjoy. She puts together some really cute outfits, and has some really creative photo shoots.
